It would seem that humanity has learned everything about fabrics and materials for 20 centuries of its history. There was nothing that people sewed clothes from during this time: wool, cotton, silk, paper, linen, and nettles, and then added to them synthetic materials. But technological progress does not stand still. New technologies open up incredible opportunities, which young designers rush to take advantage of. Among them is Elena Denisova, a graduate of the British Higher School of Design. She does not just work with recycled materials but creates designer fabrics using unusual textures and patterns. The complex process results in new synthetic materials that can be widely used in textile production. Thanks to their unique properties, the clothes created with their help do not lose their shape and color and are ready to serve their owners for many years, i.e., they support the trend for rational consumption.
The graduation collection by Elena Denisova was honorably presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Russia and made a real fashion revolution, setting the vector of the future development of the fashion industry: the union of ecology and technology. Fashion experts appreciated the unusual talent and innovative approach of the young designer. More and more often, the name Elena Denisova started to sound in certain contexts "textile designer" and "fashion ambassador of the future." A number of textile companies, including foreign ones, invited Elena to give a course of training lectures on technological fabrics and textures for their specialists. And in another year, she founded her brand - Helen Stracta, specializing in basic clothing made of non-standard materials.
Fabrics attracted Elena Denisova since her childhood. She grew up in a creative family, where several generations were somehow or other connected with the craft: her grandfather was engaged in woodcarving, her grandmother in khokhloma painting, her father created metal decorations and interior items, and her mother worked in weaving production. Elena Denisova inherited her love for textures and patterns from her. A piece of fiber woven together in skillful hands turned into a real masterpiece. During her studies at the British Higher School of Art and Design, Elena has shown an interest in recycled materials and textured fabrics, which was reflected in the brand name, created just a year after the debut collection: the name Elena and a derivative of the English word Structure joined in the name Helen Stracta.
The brand has never chased fashion trends. Helen Stracta presents basic collections of women's wardrobes made of eco-friendly technological fabrics, emphasizing textures, designer ornaments, and prints. One of the know-how of sustainable fashion designer Elena Denisova is clothes created with Japanese washi paper. Despite its "paper" origin, it is a strong and durable material. The addition of cotton thread ensures such qualities. Washi is famous for its anti-microbial properties - it neutralizes various smells. This is an important advantage, and it ensures the comfort of millions of hypersensitive people, who react to various stresses by increased sweating. A new technological material eliminates the smell of sweat and has super strong properties, as well as another unique material from the Elena Denisova collections - perforated mesh. Innovative fabrics allow the creation of clothes with a perfect fit, strength, and durability, which will not lose their presentable appearance for many years, and, therefore, will not go to the dump after several washes. This is how Helen Stracta promotes the trend of reasonable consumption.
Elena Denisova does not stop there and gladly takes part in new fashion experiments. At the moment, the reworked textile designer is developing unique textures and author's prints for her clothing brand of the famous American rapper JT Money. Also, within the framework of this collaboration, the author's prints will be created based on the play of words and phrases from the musician's songs. There are a lot of interesting projects ahead that will consolidate the success of Elena Denisova, one of the leaders of the modern fashion world, a talented designer of textures and fabrics, and the founder of a unique eco-textile trend.
